CHUTLI, Chuitli, Chütley, n. “A tobacco-pipe” (Rxb. 1923 Watson W.-B., chutli, chuitli). Cf. Chootle. [′tʃʌtlɪ̢, ′tʃytlɪ̢]Rxb. (Yetholm) a.1914 (per Dmb.2):
“My chütley's toom” — my pipe is empty.

[Borrowed from the Yetholm Gipsy tchutli (Rxb. 1923 Watson W.-B.). In McCormick's Tinkler-Gypsies, tchitlow, pipe, is given for Gall., and chutshie, a bagpipe, tutchie, tobacco pipe, for Per. and Arg. Cf. Hindi chhūchi.]
