BUNTIN, n.2 A bantam (Bnff.2, Abd.2, Lnl.1 1937). Used attrib. in quot.Abd. 1923 P. Giles in Bnffsh. Jnl. (8 May) 10:
“Fat's yer new neeper like?” asked one farmer of another. “Och, a buntin cockie o' a craitur.”

[Phs. the same as the Buntin,n.1 and adj., but more prob. a variant of bantin, s.v. Bantim.]
