BLEVET, n. The corn bluebottle or, perhaps, the harebell; but see Blaver.Abd. 1925 Greig and Keith Last Leaves 157:
Your gloves shall be the lockerin clover, . . . An' I'll stitch them wi the blue blevets, That grows among the lawn.

[Blevet might be a ne.Sc. variant of Blawort (see P.L.D. § 137), but cf. dial. Fr. blavet, a cornflower, O.Fr. bleve, blue (Gamillscheg, s.v. blavelle).]
