(Poke-,) Poik-, Pokmantie, n. Also: pockmantie, -manty, pokmanté, poakmantie. [Sc. altered form, after Poke n., of Portmanteaw. Cf. Pakmantie and Pokemantle.] A travelling-bag or portmanteau. Also attrib.(a) 1581 Treas. Acc. MS 67 (2) b.
