Hidder, Hiddir, adv. and a. Also: hiddire, -yr, hydder, -ir, -yr (hedder; hither, -or). [ME. hid(d)er, hyd(d)er, OE. hider; also ME. heder, hither.]

1. adv. To or towards this place, hither; fig. to this world.(a) a1400 Leg. S. vii. 380.
