Attemptat, Attemptate, n. [OF. attemptat, med. L. attemptatus, whence also e.m.E. attemptate (1524). See also Attentat.] An attempt involving violence or wrong; an outrage. (In early use applied to border raids.) 1386 Rotuli Sc. II. 85/2.
